POLARIS’ NEW TURBO TRIPLE
While we anxiously await Polaris’ answer to
the Can-Am Maverick X3, which will make 172
horsepower in 2018, we do know that Polaris
already has turbocharged, triple-cylinder
MRZR-D2 and MRZR-D4 military UTVs.
Both the D2 and D4 are built to fit inside
a V- 22 Osprey, and both sport a 993cc
diesel engine with dual-range CVT and
on-demand AWD. They look like civilian
RZR XP EPS’ from the front but sport
a foot of travel, 59.5-inch width
and 26-inch DWT Moapas
on 14-inch beadlocks. The
rear boxed bed holds 500
pounds via Polaris metal
racks with the Quick Rail
Truly an all-terrain vehicle, the Mercier-Jones Supercraft hovers over water, mud, desert, swamps, snow and ice.
It even has refrigerated personalized drink wells, but GPS navigation and a trailer with winch are options.
If you could buy a Polaris
MRZR-D2, it would
only come in Desert
Tan with a winch, tow
hooks and front/rear
2-inch receivers. It
also has infrared
and is sold only to
the military. For the
latest and greatest
civilian UTV from
Polaris, see page 26.
