HOW IS IT FOR MUD AND WATER?
It likes to get wet—and keep you dry.
The Stampede XTR has plenty of power
and an effective 4WD system to keep
the machine moving even in slick mud
or deep water. The 11. 25 inches of
ground clearance helps too. Thanks to
the excellent protection the bodywork
provides, you can slosh through mud
and water at reasonable speeds without
wearing what you rode through.
HOW ARE THE DETAILS?
Most are very impressive. The
Stampede’s engine is smooth and
refined, as well as being powerful, and
the noise level in the cab is pleasantly
low. The front and rear bench seats are
comfortable and the cabin is roomy.
The rear seats are as well padded as
the fronts, and the rear seating area has
enough legroom for 6-foot-tall adults.
The doors offer plenty of coverage,
open and close easily, and the XTR is
easy to enter and exit. The rear doors
flex and clatter in very choppy terrain,
but it only happens in rough-going, and
it’s only noticeable to rear passengers.
Large LCD screen instrumentation
is located in front of the wheel and
displays speed, fuel level, engine
temperature, RPM, gear position and
