WHAT IT IS:
The Lock & Ride cargo bag is a
rear-bed/trunk bag designed and built
by Ogio specifically for Polaris RZRs.
This semi-rigid, large bed bag mounts
securely to the Polaris RZR bed to carry
all your gear, keeping it clean and dry.
The Ogio cargo bag features the
best of both worlds; its design uses a
hard case bottom to help it maintain its
shape and a soft bag top that can be
stuffed full of goodies and zipped up
conveniently. Ogio is famous for its gear
bags. The hard-shell pan gives it rigidity
and strength, while the heavy-duty soft
bag takes care of the containment.
Using a hard bottom pan allows for the
Polaris Lock & Ride mounting system to
be used to attach the bag to the RZR’s
bed. The massive bag provides 100
liters of storage and has a durable and
detachable roll-top tool bag. MOLLE-compatible lash loops are included for
additional, external carrying capabilities.
The Ogio cargo bag is made from
a durable, water-resistant Tarpaulin
material that can be cleaned with mild
soap and water. The lower pan area
is made from a very durable, injection-molded plastic that will also hold up
to years and years of abuse. Large,
durable and glove-friendly buckles are
used to keep items secure.
The Lock & Ride attachment makes
installation a snap. For the initial install,
you will need to assemble the Lock
& Ride buckles, which takes about
three to five minutes. Installation and
removal of the bed bag takes about 60
WHAT DOES IT FIT?
The Polaris Ogio rear bag fits the
newer-generation RZRs. It fits the
2014–2018 XP 1000, XP 1000 4, XP
Turbo, XP Turbo 4, 900 S, 900 4. It
won’t fit the RZR 800 or 2011–2014 XP
WHO NEEDS ONE?
Anyone who has a compatible
RZR will benefit from having more dry
storage and the ability to carry supplies
for whatever adventure they might
pursue. This bag is ideal for everything
from stowing tow straps, tools and a
jacket to full-on camping supplies for
that night out in the wilderness.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The hard-pan bottom and Lock
& Ride function work great, as the
bag could easily be removed when
we needed our bed for other stuff
like firewood or a big cooler. It can
easily hold a small tent, sleeping bag,
and enough supplies to keep you
comfortable along the trail. We recently
used it in the new Dynamix XP 4 car to
pre-run the Baja 1000. When we say
it’s big, it is an understatement. We
carried spare clothes, clutch belts, a
jack, tools, a tarp, food, etc. and still
ended up using towels to take up the
This bag holds everything you could
need for a long day or even a weekend
on the trail. With Lock & Ride, it is
easily removed, but once we filled it
with the necessities, we rarely found a
reason to remove it. It is large enough
to carry anything from camping supplies
to spare helmets for any passenger
you might pick up along the way. The
separate, roll-top tool bag is also key,
as it keeps your heavier tools separated
and easily reachable, as well as keeping
them from destroying the bag’s internal
contents. We love this bag, and it has
held up to more than 4000 miles of off-road thrashing so far. ❏
