HOW DOEST COST COMPARE?
The Ace 570 SP is $9999. The base
Ace 570 is $8499 and the Ace 500
goes for $6999. The Ace 900 XC is
WHAT MAKES THE 570 SP SPECIAL?
More than looks. The big
difference between the base 570
and the SP is the SP’s double-A-arm
front suspension. The SP’s more
sophisticated front end creates less
bump-steer, turns tighter and offers
more travel than the base Ace 570’s
MacPherson-strut front end— 9 inches
versus 8. 2. Both 570s have double-A-
arm rear suspension with 9. 5 inches
of travel. All 2017 Aces have 10-percent
The SP also comes with engine
braking, power steering, painted
bodywork, doors rather than nets, cast-aluminum wheels and a two-tone seat.
WHAT POWERS IT?
A single-cylinder, 567cc, double-overhead-cam, four-valve, fuel-injected
engine with 45 horsepower.
WHAT KIND OF TRANSMISSION DOES IT
The easiest kind to use. A fully
automatic, dual-range continuously
variable transmission with engine braking.
WHAT KIND OF 4WD SYSTEM DOES IT
Selectable 2WD/4WD with an
automatic-locking front differential. With
the Polaris system, even when 4WD is
selected, a speed-sensitive, automatic-locking front differential keeps the
Ace in 2WD until the rear wheels lose
traction. The instant the speed-sensitive
front differential detects rear-wheel slip,
the front differential locks and all four
wheels are driving.
The Ace is easy to get in and out of, and the roomy cabin comfortably accommodates 6-foot-
tall adults, and the seat has 4 inches of fore-and-aft adjustment.
The single-cylinder, 567cc, double-overhead-cam, four-valve engine keeps the 570 SP’s weight
low and provides plenty of power.
