POLARIS RZR
XP1000 EXHAUSTS
ALBA RACING SLIP-ON EXHAUST
Alba Racing spent countless dyno hours trying to
create the perfect XP 1000 exhaust system. The end
result was not a system at all. ALBA claims that
the OEM Polaris header and collector are near
perfect in design and that no real gains could be
found with different designs. They found that
creating a free-flowing muffler could produce
a 2-horsepower gain. Due to the extreme heat
created by bigger-bore UTVs with CVT clutches,
ALBA opted to use a maintenance-free, automotive-type
muffler instead of a typical ATV-type muffler. This automotive-
type muffler is internally spark arrested. The slip-on mounts in minutes and
includes an oxygen-sensor bung. The full, stainless steel-constructed Alba exhaust
is said to produce a powerful, deep tone for $499.

GIBSON TWIN REAR-EXIT EXHAUST
Gibson Performance has
developed a super trick-looking,
twin-exit, slip-on-style exhaust that
creates a claimed 2–4 rear-wheel
horsepower, 3–5 foot-pounds of
torque and an extra 2–3 mph. The
Gibson slip-on system utilizes a
compression-spring fitting like stock,
allowing for plenty of movement to
handle all types of abuse and
virtually eliminating breakage. Gibson
claims a very reasonable 96-decibel
sound output. It also uses a louvered
and chambered design, eliminating
any internal packing to maintain itself
(blowout). A USFS spark arrestor is
included, and the system is available
in stainless or black ceramic finish for
$718.

HMF PERFORMANCE SERIES DUAL FULL SYSTEM
HMF offers one system with multiple options
for the Polaris XP 1000. The Performance
Series mufflers can be ordered in brushed,
black, orange, or red with either turn-down or
vector-style end caps. The full-system dual
exhaust features a 2-into-1-into- 2 header
system. Dual head pipes flow into a single
collector, complete with an integrated
oxygen-sensor bung, and emerge as two
again, flowing directly into the dual-muffler
cans. HMF claims an impressive 4 horsepower
at high rpm and 2 foot-pounds of torque. They
also claim horsepower increases with the
addition of their Quiet Cores, which also bring
the decibels down to a reasonable level. Price
starts at $875 and goes to $975 (equipped
with Quiet Cores and spark arrestors).
