Textron adds the 2018 Prowler EV and EV iS to its line of UTVs and ATVs. The stealthy electric UTVs sport a 72-volt
AC battery system, powering front and rear motors to a top speed of 24. 5 mph, and regenerative braking extends the
driving range. An on-board charging system can charge the six 12-volt deep-cycle batteries in 8–12 hours, and the
two motors produce 38 horsepower Both the Prowler EV and EV iS have MacPherson strut front suspension. The EV
has solid leaf-spring rear suspension, while the EV iS has independent MacPherson strut rear suspension. Both have
four-wheel disc brakes and an IntelliBrake parking brake, and both have a front bench seat for two and a convertible
rear-facing bench seat and cargo deck. Prowler EVs also sport 25-inch Carlisle Trail Pro tires on steel rims and can tow
1000 pounds to the hunting camp.
The 2018 Textron Prowler EV iS comes in black or True Timber Kanati
Camo with LED headlights and MacPherson struts at all four corners.
Front and rear electric motors drive open diffs.
The 2018 Textron Prowler EV has halogen headlights and leaf-spring rear
suspension, and a Max Range drive mode reduces top speed to 16 mph.
