with comfortable, new, supportive
high-back sport seats; secure
latching doors; and a cage that
protects the occupants and runs
under the bodywork to protect
the vehicle. The new T2 is
larger than the previous
model, but it still
fits in most full-size pickups. The
Teryx and Teryx4
have the same
wheelbase, but the
two-seater is 7. 5
than the Teryx4.
Width is the
same on the T2
2014 Teryx is
heavier than the
28. 7 pounds lighter than the T4.
The new T2 is more sporty, but it has more utility
capacity than before too. The new tilting bed is slightly
shorter than the previous T2’s, but it’s taller and is
rated for 600 pounds, 100 more than before. New rear
storage compartments behind the seats offer 182 liters
of storage, with sealed and latching lids to provide
excellent water- and dust-resistance.
Kawasaki is determined to make riders recognize
Teryx toughness and durability, so the new T2 has a
three-year warranty, the longest original manufacturer’s
UTV warranty available.
Top-of-the-line Teryx LEs come in Candy Lime Green or
Candy Burnt Orange bodywork and have color-matched
seats, A-arms and shock springs. Cast-aluminum wheels,
a roof, LED headlights and a brush guard also set the
LE apart from the base model.
The new two-seater is powered by the same 783cc, high-compression
V-twin that powers the 2014 Teryx4.
Sealed rear storage compartments behind the seats keep clothes and food dry and
safe from bugs and animals.
The new Teryx is built on the bigger, stronger Teryx4 frame, but it’s shorter and
lighter than the four-seater. All the new Teryx two-seaters, including the base model,
come with EPS.
