extreme makeover with new frame and
suspension, higher handlebars and
thicker seat, and 12 percent better
fuel economy via revised EFI, all at a
$200 price reduction. It generates more
electrical power for accessories, and
EPS fights terrain kickback for $700
more. New Deluxe models have white
plastic, red A-arms and shock springs,
and two-tone aluminum rims.

RENEGADE 500:
The Renegade 500 has two 82mm
pistons, a 47mm stroke, and a 46mm
EFI throttle body feeding four valves
and Siemens VDO injectors. Where the
base 800R and 1000 come with Fox
HPG shocks, the 500 has coil-over
shocks, but it does get the 25-inch ITP
Holeshot tires on trick, blacked-out,
center-less aluminum rims. Front and
rear brakes are controlled separately.
